Tulay Arslan has two decades of professional experience in the food industry and more than 30 years of overall work experience. She was trained as a pastry chef at The Cordon Bleu French culinary school. She has worked as a pastry chef (Swissotel), a production Chef at Cakes & Bakes and Head Pastry Chef at DOORS (Istanbul). 

Tulay moved to a more senior managerial role working as Food & Beverage Manager for the Costa Coffee operation in Turkey, where she was fully responsible for product development and approval for the entire Turkish market. 

When Tulay moved to the UK she started Arslan Consulting as a self-employed consultant and worked for Costa Coffee as the Food & Beverage manager for the entire Costa operation in Europe. Again, she was responsible for all new product development (NPD) , Supplier development & management, as well as ensuring the implementation of operational standards around Europe. Her constant travelling and boots on the ground approach, has resulted in an extensive European business network. Tulay also provided consultancy in other UK businesses, like SilverBean Coffee (as a Product Development Manager), En Route International (as a Quality Control Consultant) in their operation in Ireland, for a project with British Airways. She worked as an Exports Sales Manager at Kent Foods Ltd, and she developed the exports function of the company around the world, using her own network as well as reviewing the company’s existing business network. She exceeded every expectation in income generation and development. She expanded the company’s reach in EMEA and Asia, with a very successful participation in FOODEX food exhibition in Japan. 

Tulay is currently focusing on new projects by Arslan Consulting, coming up with innovative solutions to the supply chain shortages, delays and other issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
